Bring your wiggly worm to get up close and personal with the real thing. Digging in the garden will usually turn up worms and lots of questions from your curious youngster. Come to the Nature Center for a fun program about worms with books, activities, and even the critters themselves. Sign up early!
CU Wizards: The Tumultuous Life of Cumulus Clouds.
For over three decades, the CU Wizards program has presented FREE monthly shows that entertain and inform children about the wonders of science. Under the direction of Professor David Nesbitt, these interactive shows are presented once a month from September through June. They are hosted by renowned University of Colorado, Boulder professors and provide a perfect start to a fun-filled weekend. The shows are geared toward children and young adults, but all are welcome! Each program lasts about an hour and includes several lively demonstration experiments.

There are FREE PARKING in LOTS 308 and 436. There is also parking available for a $4.00 flat fee in the Euclid parking structure. Please refer to the CU Wizards website for additional parking information.
Audience: Homeschool Families
Discover how native peoples of the southwest use plants in their everyday lives as you explore the plants of the Sacred Earth and Dryland Mesa gardens. Investigate the many uses of the yucca plant and learn about different traditional cooking tools used in the southwest region.
Homeschool Days offer families the opportunity to explore plant-based themes through a variety of hands-on activities, tours and take-home projects that families can do together. Activities are designed for children ages five and up, however all ages are welcome to attend.
Price: $12 per day per child; One adult per child is free of charge. Additional adults and non-participating siblings over the age of two will need to pay $7 each, payable on the day of the program. The program fee includes admission to the Gardens.

Nature changes its colors in the fall, so why not capture those colors? An instructor leads this outdoor, step-by-step tutorial as kids paint an acrylic-on-canvas masterpiece. No experience is necessary. Dress for the weather and bring painting clothes! *Indoors if needed

Bring your children for a nature playdate in our “Nature: Explore” space, where they can climb, dig, jump and dive into nature as they connect with their world. No screens, no plans, no slides or swings-just nature and their imaginations. Please register as space is limited.
