Bug-A-Boo returns! Enjoy safe, indoor trick-or-treating throughout Butterfly Pavilion’s special Toxic Terror exhibits. Discover incredible animals that use poisons and venoms to survive the challenges of their world. Plus, enjoy free candy, prizes and a special pumpkin craft.

Event is great for all ages and is included with General Admission. Free for current Butterfly Pavilion members.

The Orchard’s Annual Halloween Celebration!

Join us at Town Center Square at 11AM to trade your non-perishable food donation for an Orchard Trick or Treat bag with fun surprises inside (while supplies last). Hang out and play some games, win some prizes and dance to family-friendly Halloween music! Then start your trick or treat journey through The Orchard. Participating stores with candy will have a balloon bouquet at their front door.

Enjoy tons of fun activities like free face painting, balloons, Halloween games and prizes, characters, photo opps and more!

Bring your furry friend and enter them into the pet parade and costume contest! Sign-up opens at 11AM, contest at Noon.

Please note that children over the age of 12 and adults are not permitted to wear face masks at The Orchard.

Mark your calendars for Westminster’s new and improved Halloween Harvest Festival! This FREE, family-friendly event is bigger and better than ever because this year, it will now be combined with another one of Westminster’s signature events—the annual Westy Fest that is usually held each August.

Bring the whole family to kick off the fall season with free carnival games, trick-or-treating, a hot-air balloon glow, live musical performances by local bands, a beer garden, food trucks, arts and crafts, jumping castles, local vendors, a bonfire and a BBQ competition. You can even pick out the perfect pumpkin at the pumpkin patch!

Admission is FREE for all attendees and includes:

  • Carnival games
  • Trick-or-treating
  • Live music
  • Ropes course
  • Inflatables
  • Face painting
  • Hot air balloon show
  • Admission to the JCPenney Pumpkin Patch

Additional costs include purchases from food/drink and craft/artisan vendors, pumpkin purchases and participation in the Meat Scream BBQ competition.

Entertainment Schedule

  • Noon: Broomfield School of Rock House Band
  • 2 p.m.: Gasoline Lollipops
  • 4 p.m.: BBQ Competition Awards
  • 5:30 p.m.: Rapid Grass

Shuttles: We highly recommend using our shuttle system to get to the festival. Shuttles will run about every 15-20 mins from noon until 9 p.m. Courtesy golf carts will be available for those will mobility needs.

Shuttle Locations:

  • College Hill Library: 3705 W. 112th Ave.
  • Westminster City Hall: 4800 W. 92nd Ave.
  • The MAC: 3295 W. 72nd Ave.

Parking: If you plan to park at the event, please use Harlan Street to access all event parking. There will be no event parking in the downtown garage–this is reserved for handicap parking and JCPenney customers. Please do not use lots at Olive Garden or Brunswick Zone.

Handicap Parking: Located in the parking garage or the paved parking lot along Harlan Street.

Biking: There will be a free bike valet located at the Eaton Street and Park Place median. View map of bike trails to Downtown Westminster.

Uber/Lyft: May drop off and pick up on 91st Place between Harlan Street and Eaton Street. There will be signage.

What can I bring in?

Costumes: We love costumes! Please make sure they are appropriate for the family-friendly event. Leave any sharp objects, sticks, bats and replica guns/swords at home.

The Railroad Halloween Town is a safe place to enjoy Trick or Treating. Catch a ride behind a historic Denver & Rio Grande Steam Locomotive in vintage passenger cars hosted by conductors and engineers in full costume.

Visit all of the special stops to fill your treat bags and tickle your funny bones including the “not so spooky” Haunted Railcar and the Olde Railroaders Silly Graveyard. Enjoy local food, kettle corn, shaved ice and even get your face painted. Finally, get a great picture of your costume as you pose in front of our Pumpkin Patch cart. Get professional fall portraits by Mama Chicken Photography.

Admission: Museum members and Children under 2 are free, Children $5, Adults $15 and Seniors $10.
Admission includes unlimited rides on our Steam Engine as well as entertainment throughout the grounds. We will be open to the public from 9AM-5PM with entertainment and events running 10AM-4PM.
